Our pricing is designed to be simple, fair and completely transparent
They say the best things in life are free, which is true. Sadly, everything else - including verbatim coding software - comes with a price tag.
For our clients, we know that codeit will pay for itself in a matter of months by bringing greater efficiency, accuracy and cost savings. However, whenever we’re showing codeit to new clients, one of the questions we always get asked is: “how much does it cost?”
This is fair enough, obviously, because people need to know what they’re committing to before signing up. People like to know where they stand, and they hate hidden costs and surprises.
Which is why we’ve designed our pricing to be simple, fair and completely transparent.
Put simply, the price you pay for codeit is entirely dependent on the number of verbatims you code. To us, this seems the easiest and fairest way to charge for codeit. So, someone who codes ten thousand verbatims per year pays less than someone who codes ten million.
It doesn’t matter how many codes you apply to a verbatim, or if you recode it numerous times.
It doesn’t matter who codes it, Rob Bott (our AI) or a human, or if it gets re-coded by someone else working on the project, or through a quality checker.
Need to translate the verbatim before you code? It’s still only one charge. There is no extra charge for auto-translation.
You’ll only be charged when that first code is applied, i.e. the moment when a verbatim changes from an uncoded verbatim into a coded one. After that, you can make as many modifications as you need without further charges.
In codeit’s terminology, we use the term “workload” as the unit of measurement. So, one coded verbatim is one “workload” in our world.
Your workload allowance is set in advance for the year ahead based on previous years' usage and volume estimates going forward. This helps give everyone the reassurance of certainty and predictability.
For new clients, it’s harder to know at the outset what level to set this allowance at. So, we work with new clients to estimate and review as needed. Usually, this is a complete “finger in the air” guess! But no matter, we can easily top up and adjust if needed throughout the year. At the end of year one, we look back at usage and use that to inform the allowance for year two.
What if usage goes beyond the amount of workloads purchased?
That’s okay, you can go over by 10% without penalty and if you need even more than that, you can purchase additional volumes at any time.
As you’d expect, there are bulk discounts available for larger volumes purchased. So, the larger your allowance, the cheaper the cost per workload is. Workloads are purchased in advance and valid for up to 12 months.
There is no license fee when you sign up to a codeit account.
We all know how annoying it is having to pay an additional fixed charge regardless of usage (hello phone and gas bills).
codeit’s packages have no hidden fees. So, you’ll never be charged more for translations, additional license fees or for importing closed-end data. You can also add as many users as you like to your account for no additional cost.
There is no charge for onboarding or support, or even for any platform updates including requested platform integrations. Everything is included so you can just focus on what matters most, telling the full story from your verbatim data.
